Joshua is known for his huge heart, kind spirit, and wonderful sense of humor.
He truly enjoys helping others and has a natural gift for cheering people up, often through laughter, silliness, and perfectly timed jokes.
Whether he’s being thoughtful and reflective, creative and imaginative, or playful and goofy, Joshua brings all of those sides together in a way that makes people feel comfortable and cared for.
Joshua is an amazing big brother to his six-year-old sister, Chloe. He is protective, patient, and loving, enjoys reading to her, playing games, building LEGO creations together, and happily stepping into the role of helper and babysitter when needed. Their bond means the world to him.
A passionate Disney fan, Joshua especially loves Donald Duck and deeply admires Walt Disney. He loves art and creativity and is incredibly talented at drawing characters, creating stop-motion films, building expert-level and Disney-themed LEGO sets, and painting. His favorite Disney movie is Frozen, a story he loves for its heart, resilience, and message of believing in yourself, even when the journey isn’t easy. One day, he dreams of becoming a Disney animator and bringing stories to life for others.
Joshua also loves spending time with his friends and is proud to be part of the Summit School community. He appreciates that Summit is a place where kindness leads the way, teachers truly care, learning is both fun and challenging, and everyone feels like family and supports one another. Much like Disney, Summit feels like a magical place to Joshua, one where values are lived, not just taught.
Like all great stories that begin with once upon a time, Joshua’s journey has included challenges, and he has met each one with resilience, optimism, and a heart that never stops believing in what’s possible.
Becoming a Bar Mitzvah marks a meaningful milestone for Joshua as he embraces Jewish values of responsibility, community, and chesed (kindness)… inspired by Walt Disney’s philosophy that imagination, kindness, and perseverance have the power to make the world a better place, and turn dreams into reality.
